Launched in September 2015, Wicked Wolf  is the original award winning premium distillery making  distilled spirits on Exmoor. Our spirits are slow distilled on the banks of the picturesque River Lyn, North Devon. We are husband and wife team, Pat Patel and Julie Heap, and we are the faces behind this exciting venture.

Since 2015 more spirits have been added to our range (some are limited editions). Our goal is to produce smooth, flavourful spirits. They are pot distilled in all copper alembic stills to extract more of the flavour, lovingly slow distilled, filtered, bottled and labelled by hand in exclusive 150- litre batches. All our spirits are prepared in the same slow handcrafted process.

Our process is what makes us truly different

We are one of the very few distillers who distil our spirits extremely slowly to capture the full gamut of flavour. This slow distilling approach allows us complete control over consistency across each batch. Our spirits are filtered at each stage of the production process, producing a smooth, full-bodied and elegant spirit. Wicked Wolf spirits are  truly  “The Spirit of Exmoor®"

Beautifully Aromatic

Wow, this is a wonderful gin, beautifully aromatic, the flavours are very unique and very evident. It really does take gin to the next level. Very genuinely, after just one glass, it was elevated to my favourite gin (and I love gin!). Please do not waste this on cheap tonic, treat it to something tasty like Fever Tree or similar. I really hope this product does well, I’d hate to ever lose my new favourite!

Smooth and Elegant

Smooth and elegant, has a lovely fresh floral note that gives way to wonderful warm spices, it packs a mouthful of flavours beautifully layered. Stunning as a sipping Gin or as a Gin & Tonic with Lime. Originally bought this as novelty Gin, but on tasting was just blown away, a firm favourite.

Pretty Epic

They have this where I work and it’s pretty epic. We have about 25-30 of the classic “craft” gins, and this is by far the most intense Gin experience. I personally love it, a real fresh citrus kick, with lots of wild thyme and rustic heather notes. For those that know Exmoor, you’ll understand the terroir of this perfectly. it makes the striking scenery, moist mists and wicked winds perfectly. Great neat sipping gin, or in a G+T. See if you can get hold of some Exmoor caviar too. It exists, and this makes a great alternative to champagne as a pairing.
